Bijrani Tourist Zone is a very popular part of the beautiful Corbett Tiger Reserve. It's home to many plants and animals. Many tourists choose Bijrani over the Dhikala zone. The area is known for its amazing scenery and peaceful atmosphere, and visitors love its beauty. It's also one of the best places in the park to see tigers. Bijrani has a mix of thick Sal forests and grasslands. You can enter this zone through the Aamdanda Gate.

Safari in Bijrani

The Bijrani safari zone, rich in diverse flora and fauna, is a favorite among wildlife enthusiasts for day visits. Located conveniently close to Ramnagar, it offers visitors a serene and tranquil forest experience. The vegetation mainly consists of Sal trees and wide grasslands known as Chaur. The topography of Bijrani is relatively dry and varied. Visitors can spot various species of deer and antelope, including Chital (Axis axis), Hog Deer or Para (Axis porcinus), Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Kakkar (Muntiacus muntjak). Bijrani is also a prime location for seeing tigers, wild elephants, and birdwatching. The chances of encountering a sloth bear are high, as they are attracted to termites and the nectar of Mahua flowers. Interestingly, these bears can become intoxicated when the Mahua ferments in their digestive system. Reptiles in the region include the Indian Python, Cobra, Krait, King Cobra, and various lizard species.

How to Reach Bijrani

The entry gate to Bijrani zone is the Aamdanda Gate, about 2 km from Ramnagar. After entering through Aamdanda Gate, visitors pass through approximately 5 km of buffer zone before reaching the core area of the Bijrani ecotourism zone.
